As we all knew, our piece on David Caruso and Emily Procter being separated for the past two (2) seasons on CSI Miami did not go unnoticed. We've had many email responses, all grateful for addressing this much discussed but never resolved issue. We are hearing that there are a couple of scenes between the two in an upcoming episode titled "Ambush". Whether that will quell the current uprising remains to be seen. As a side note to Ann Donahue, David Caruso, Emily Procter, and the writers: a scene or two will not stem the flow of outrage. Whatever bone you throw out will face rejection if it's not true to the characters and in keeping with the first 3 seasons. No instant panaceas, Please!
Also as predicted, Vixen is NOW (since our piece) touting David's "refreshed look" as a result of Botox. How strange to be considered Vixen's information source! What a pity it's not consistent; she could just possibly touch on the truth from time to time. She has also picked up on our current Horatio/Calleigh theme, except "it's all David Caruso's fault". Don't we all wish we had her vast knowledge of everything that is David Caruso?
Today's belly full of Vixen Vittles - they'll bring on a binge and purge session faster than anyone can imagine. All are despicable; one, however, is truly libelous. Another of Vixen's rants is about the lack of photos of Paloma, David and Liza's 4 month old daughter. One question only: Why would any right-thinking parent knowingly subject their children to public photos when they have full knowledge of a psychotic stalker who has already threatened them, their son, and David's older daughter?

Saturday in Oz, we are preparing for a BBQ tomorrow and I have the occasional opportunity to check in to see what goes on. QUITE FRANKLY, I am glad a work during the week! When is enough, enough Mr Caruso. I don't wish for you or yours to have the arduous task of drawn out, time consuming and exhausting legal activities, not to mention the press that comes with it. At the same time it seems any slanderous abuse and libel seem accptable to sites that host such animals. I am also surprised that CBS doesn't take any action, even contact with these blog sites outside of legal channels, to look after their own.
She just posted that outrageous blog item on Topix and I, stupidly, responded in like kind. Dumb...Dumb...Dumb...Dumb...Dumb.
Lindy's comment was perfect. That's why I hate these boards. I react too quickly which is what she's looking for. This will bother me all night. Damn!!
Ah, Vixen, here's someone with a great deal of pride, but very little to be proud of. Besides being an expert on padded cells--truly, what are your accomplishments? Truth escapes you. Same old rants, dayafterdayafterday. After hearing your rants, I now know that the dead do contact us. I wonder, have you started embroidering "L's" (for LOSER) on your purses yet? Trust me, you don't need to spell out LOSER--just one glance and it is evident.
Hey Dojo - please don't let this issue drop just yet. You said yourself that TPTB can't just make this a quick-fix or panacea! And that seems to be exactly what they are doing :(
Please take note that Horatio and Calleigh have NOT interacted in 4 episodes since "Ambush", including "All In" - particularly of note was his absence in the last shot of the "rescue" scene in "All In". You could totally tell that DC shot that on a different day entirely.
This separation is DRIVING ME CRAZY!!! I HATE watching them interact w/EVERY OTHER CHARACTER but each other. There's NO WAY they're not on the set on the same day! Take tonight's ep, "Rock and a Hard Place," for example. Horatio and Cal interviewed the SAME suspect during the course of the ep, on the SAME SET — and I don't think that guest star was there ALL WEEK. At the end, why is Cal not there w/H interrogating the guy? She's the one who initially interviewed him and then confirmed he was dirty, so why is Eric there w/H??
Oh, and another example - "To Kill A Predator". Check out the scene where Ryan interviews the daughter at first as a suspect. The suspect drops the "divorce" line — which would've totally connected w/Cal since her parents are divorced — but it was Ryan interrogating her b/c in the next freakin' scene he has to tell H he can't put her in the car. Even the CBS website's synopsis of the ep. has CALLEIGH, not Ryan, interviewing the suspect. Why was this cut out? Was it b/c she ::gasp:: would have to share a scene w/DC if she did the interrogation???
PLEASE don't let this point die!! Horatio is there for every single character BUT Calleigh. "All In" may've been a clever way to connect these two while keeping them apart, but it's STUPID that H interacts and talks to every CSI that has a problem EXCEPT Cal.
I'm serious — look at this season. He's spoken to Ryan about his gambling thing in "Sunblock"; Eric about his brain injury in "Bang Bang Your Debt"; Nat about her firearms mishap in "Tunnel Vision"; Alexx (of course) about her son in "Rock & A Hard Place".
Now let's look at what Cal's been through: "Stand Your Ground" - no comment from H when Cal kills a man and has Stetler on her ass; "All In" - where was Horatio in that "group hug" scene, or even afterwards??? Where were the words of comfort for her?? What the hell is going on???
And next week things seem to get pretty bad for Cal again - but I'd bet a lot of money that Horatio completely ignores her again. No words of consolation for Calleigh - no he just lets his second in command hang in the wind. But he's there in a flash when shoots her gun in self defense and merely injures the guy. I mean, that was way more traumatic than Cal's situations ::rolls eyes:: STUPID! STUPID! STUPID!
Oh, and I love how E/C fans are already complaining about how Eric and Cal haven't had that many scenes since "All In" - are you kidding? Try 29 eps!! I mean, you're telling me that if Adam Rodriguez had a different schedule than Emily Procter, they'd never share a scene again? This is total BS at its worst, and it needs to stop.
Please do not drop this topic - these two were the HEART of the show, and w/Alexx gone, Cal's gonna be even more of an important part of the team. And Horatio needs to show he cares by BEING THERE FOR HER!! TPTB - STOP SEPARATING THEM!
